Special Olympics Unified Bowling

Special Olympics Unified Bowling-  Leisure Services will host the 18th annual Special Olympics Unified Bowling League on Tuesday starting the 23rd and going through March 7th.  The “unified” concept pairs up a traditional Special Olympian with a non-disabled partner and results in integrated competition.  Actual  bowling times are tentatively scheduled from 6-8pm.  All interested bowlers must make a commitment to attend every Tuesday.  Participants will have the option of either going with the group to eat dinner each night or reporting to the bowling alley by 5:45.  All bowlers will return to Sunshine at 8:00.  If you plan to eat dinner, you will need to turn in one payment of $70 or two payments totaling $70 ($35 in January and $35 in February) This will cover  six dinners.  Important Note!  Since  this is Special Olympics, there’s no fee to participate, but we still must come up with enough  money to  defray the program’s costs.  Cost to sponsor one bowler for all six weeks is approximately $30.  Any donations to help defray some of this cost would be greatly appreciated.   Sign up ASAP!  Space is limited!
