Adult Track and Field Meet-Special Olympics

Adult Track & Field Meet- Special Olympics of Greater Knoxville (Area 5) –  The Special Olympics of Greater Knoxville’s Adult Track and Field Meet is scheduled for Monday, April 9th, at Hardin Valley Academy just past Pellissippi State Community College on Hardin Valley Rd.  About 50 athletes have registered for this year’s event and additional details will soon come their way.  The meet is scheduled to start at 4:30 and should last approximately between 2 1/2 –3 hours depending on your events.  All athletes must come dressed appropriately to compete.  Shorts and tennis shoes are required especially if you are running.  Special Olympics everywhere is emphasizing appropriate attire in sports and you run the possibility of disqualification if not dressed appropriately.  Questions: Call Leisure Services at 546-9431– Ext 230.  *Rain date for the meet will be Wednesday, April 11th.*
