Special Olympics Unified Bowling

Leisure Services is hosting the 18th Annual Special Olympics Unified Bowling League on Tuesdays through March 6th.  The  “unified” concept pairs up traditional Special Olympians with a non-disabled partner to compete, resulting in integrated competition.  Actual bowling times are 6-7:30pm.  It’s not too late to participate but you must be able to commit to the remaining five Tuesdays.  Participants have the option of either going with the group to eat dinner before competition each night or reporting to Fountain Lanes at 5:45  each night.  All bowlers return at 8:00 to Sunshine.  If you didn’t attend the first night in January but still want to eat dinner and compete, you need to turn in one payment of $50 or two payments totaling $60 ($25 in February and $25 at the beginning of March) This will cover the remaining dinners.  Important Note!  Since  this is Special Olympics, there’s no fee to participate, but we still must come up with enough  money to  defray the program’s costs.  Cost to sponsor one bowler for all six weeks is approximately $30.  Any donations to help defray some of this cost would be greatly appreciated.   Sign up ASAP!  Space is limited!
